Server log files
The provider of the pages automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These are:
- Browser type and browser version
- Operating system used
- Referrer URL
- Hostname of the accessing computer
- Time of the server request
- IP address
Contact form
If you send us enquiries via the contact form, your details from the enquiry form, including the contact details you provide there, will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the enquiry and in case of follow-up questions. We do not share this data without your consent.
The processing of this data is carried out on the basis of Art. 6 (1) lit. b GDPR, insofar as your enquiry is related to the performance of a contract or is necessary to carry out pre-contractual measures. In all other cases, the processing is based on our legitimate interest in the effective handling of enquiries addressed to us (Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR).
Contact form submissions are processed via the Netlify Forms service provided by Netlify, Inc., 101 2nd Street, San Francisco, CA 94105, USA. Netlify processes the form data you enter on our behalf in order to deliver your enquiry to us and stores it on servers in the USA. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) lit. b GDPR insofar as your enquiry serves the performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures, and Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR in all other cases. For the transfer to the USA, Netlify is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework; in addition, we have concluded the EU standard contractual clauses pursuant to Art. 46 (2) lit. c GDPR with Netlify. The form data is deleted once your enquiry has been handled, and no later than six months afterwards, unless statutory retention obligations apply. For further information, please see Netlify’s privacy notice: https://www.netlify.com/privacy/
Enquiry by email or phone
If you contact us by email or phone, your enquiry, including all personal data resulting from it (name, enquiry), will be stored and processed by us for the purpose of handling your matter.
5. Hosting
This website is hosted as a static site by Netlify, Inc., 101 2nd Street, San Francisco, CA 94105, USA. In doing so, Netlify processes technically necessary access data (see server log files). For details, please refer to Netlify’s privacy notice: https://www.netlify.com/privacy/
6. Web analytics with Umami
To understand which content is in demand, we measure the reach of this website with Umami. The provider is Umami Software, Inc., 28 Geary St, Suite 650 #243, San Francisco, California, USA. We use the EU region of the service: measurement data is sent exclusively to the provider's EU endpoint (eu.umami.is), and the associated account is set to the EU region.
Umami works without cookies and without recognising individual visitors over longer periods. Only aggregated metrics are created, such as pages viewed, referring page, device type, browser and country of origin. No personal data is collected. Your IP address is not stored. It is only processed briefly in order to calculate a hashed session identifier together with further technical details. A secret additional value that changes monthly goes into this hash, so that earlier and later visits from the same device can no longer be linked afterwards.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is to recognise which content is needed without tracking our visitors. We do not obtain consent under Section 25(1) TDDDG because the measurement stores nothing on your device: no cookies, no local storage entries, nothing comparable.
Objection: The counting script respects your browser’s “Do Not Track” setting. If it is active, no page view is transmitted. You can also disable the measurement permanently by blocking the script with a content blocker. Further information from the provider is available here: https://umami.is/privacy
